Biography
I am a visual artist living in the Peace River Country. I have ranched for 45 years along with my husband and two sons. As a child I had the desire to "create". As years pass, I have, through trial and error developed my own visual language using materials at hand. I reach into my psyche and the phisical experience aquired from my life style to express myself... To ride through life with conviction.
My sculptures and three dimensional works are comprised of fired clay, leather and found farm materials such as scrap metal, cow placenta, glass, and scrap wood from old buildings. This material manipulated through the use of solder, cutting torch, welding, and burning techniques.
My work has received recognition on numerous occasions. It has been included in eleven provincial juried shows and shown in galleries throughout the province.
